A client of ours was almost scammed out of thousands of dollars by an email spoofing PayPal.

Protect Yourself from Cybercriminals

  1. Is the message normal and expected?

  2. Who is it actually from - check the sender's address.

  3. Never call a number in a suspicious email or reply to it.

  4. Always contact the company or sender directly with known, good contact information.

  5. Seek advice from your trusted IT support organization.

  6. Report the incident to your manager or IT Admin.
